Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival Paro (2250m) – Thimphu (2350m)
Arrive at Paro International Airport where cool and fresh air immediately greets you as you step down from the plane. Flying in/out of Paro is blessed with flying past some of the world’s tallest mountains. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, meet your representatives and guide outside the airport. Drive to Paro for lunch and also visit Paro Rinpung Dzong. Afterward, drive to Thimphu (1 hr drive) and being sightseeing visiting Buddha’s point, Takin preserve. Then continue to Tashi Choe Dzong- the fortress of the glorious religion was initially constructed in 1641 and rebuilt by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk in the 1960s, Folk Heritage Museum – a 300 year old traditional house converted into a museum, Centenary Farmers Market, the new authentic craft bazaar. Day 02: Paro – Punakha (1310m)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha from Paro which is about four hours drive. On the way is Dochula pass (3050m) which offers spectacular views of the eastern mountains on a clear day. Visit the nearby restaurants at the pass, have some tea/coffee with great mountain views. Continue to drive to Punakha and getting closer to Punakha Valley, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang ‘the fertility temple’ dedicated to Drukpa Kunley. After the hike driving for some time will soon reach Punakha and check-in hotel. Overnight at Luxury Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 03: Punakha – Gangtey (2320m)
Today, drive being in the morning where from Wangude the road climbs up passing along oak and rhododendron forests. Then it arrives at the Phobjikha Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Bhutan. This glacial valley is the winter home to black-necked cranes that flew all the way from Tibet during the winter season. In Gangtey, take the Gangtey nature trail hike starting from Gangtey monastery through the forest and into the valley floor. Overnight at Luxury Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 04: Gangtey – Thimphu (2350m)
After breakfast, trace the same route back to Thimphu. Before that visit Gangtey monastery located amid the Gangtey Village. En-route, Gangtey to Thimphu is again crossing Docula pass and once more good chance to witness the eastern mountains. Upon Thimphu arrival, check-in hotel or you can explore the city as well or relax at your luxury hotel. Overnight at Luxury Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 05: Thimphu – Haa – Paro (2250m)
Drive to Paro from Thimphu en-route to the beautiful Haa Valley located closer to Paro town. Getting closer to Haa will encounter Chelela pass (3899 m) from where get a good view of the Himalayas and the valley below. Then continue the drive towards Haa. Haa is made up of five counties and was closed to the outside world until 2002. There is a military camp by the Indian Army. In Haa valley, visit Wangchucklo Dzong dating back to 1915 and Lhakhang Nakpo (Black temple) is said to have been built by pigeon emanation of King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century and Lhakhang Karpo (white temple). Day 06: In Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ (3120m)
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to the base of the monastery and begin hike upwards. After two hours hike will reach the cafeteria. From here, get an exclusive view of the monastery, rest a while, have some tea/coffee. Afterward, continue to hike upwards towards the monastery, upon reaching explore around, get pictures. It’s believed Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century here and meditated. Then hike downwards to the road-head and drive to Paro. En-route visit Kyich Lhakhang, one of the oldest shrines in Bhutan. Overnight at Luxury Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 07: Paro depart
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch the onward flight. Bid farewell to the remote and legendary Dragon Kingdom disappearing again behind its guardian mountains. (Breakfast only included)
